Haven’s Halloween Party

So I learned something today. I realized that having you kids has made every holiday season a million times more fun. Well…I suppose that isn’t something I just now figured out, but the point is, you’ve changed every season for me. And it’s been in the most joyful, exciting, beautiful, fun, and best way possible.

Haven, you had been asking for a Halloween party for a couple months. (Talk about committed since you brought this up in the summer haha!) I didn’t even hesitate to say yes, because we love opening up our home to others! And seeing you want to do the same for your friends makes me so proud. Little did I know how much your reaction to everything would make my heart melt. With every “oooh” and “ahh” and “thank you,” I was overjoyed.

So today was a good one. And I’ll remember it forever because I can’t forget your sweet voice thanking me, and your tiny arms wrapping around my neck as you kissed me on the cheek. You and your brothers are my joy and my delight. I love that you encourage me to make each day special, just by seeing the wonder in the simple things.

Halloween is exactly a week away! Eek! So let’s make the most of it and finish up our bucket list filled with crafts, treats, and new traditions. I love you kiddos. You’re my dream come true.
