Baked Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
This will make about a dozen donuts.
***Baking tip: I highly recommend this vanilla. It’s noticeable flavor and consistency is incredible! My grandma bought this throughout my childhood, and even as a little girl I remembered it as an essential staple when baking. She’s always been my inspiration in the kitchen, and I’ve learned to take to heart all of her baking tips.***
INGREDIENTS:
- 6 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 granulated sugar
- 3/4 light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon vanilla paste
- 1 cup of milk (I recommend whole when baking)
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter for brushing pan
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix together 6 tsp of melted butter, oil and sugars until smooth. Add eggs, and beat until well combined. Next, add in flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Finally, pour in milk, and mix on low until its combined.
Next you can either scoop the batter into a large piping bag, or use a ladle. Brush the donut pans with the melted butter, or spray with nonstick spray. Pour batter into your pan until they are almost full. Bake donuts for 7-8 minutes. They will be golden when finished. In a shallow bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar. Let them cool in the pans for 5 minutes, then turn them out into cinnamon and sugar mixture and coat while they’re still warm.
Enjoy!!
