25 Week Bumpdate
Wow I feel like this last week just flew by! Am I really 25 weeks pregnant already?! I feel like I’ve hit a milestone. As most of you know, this pregnancy has been the furthest thing from easy. I have complete placenta previa, and have had lots of times where I’ve started bleeding, or spotting because of it. It has been a roller coaster ride to say the least! But my husband and I are more grateful than anything. Our baby boy is still in my womb where he belongs, and he is as healthy as can be! He’s super active, which reminds me of how Haven was when I was pregnant with her. All those rolls, kicks, and jabs are the most beautiful and reassuring thing for me. The little life inside of me is happy and moving about, and that makes my momma heart just beam with joy!
I am expected to deliver via c-section somewhere between 36-37 weeks. It could change, since there’s no official date yet, but since I was diagnosed with this, that’s been my due date range. I will admit I am much more nervous this time around. My first two deliveries were natural, so this is completely new to me. I tend to get anxiety at the doctors, so the thought of any type of surgery makes me nervous. It’s definitely caused me to pray more, and really rely on God to keep this weary heart steady.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8
I have to say…I appreciate all of you so much! The support and love you have shown me has really encouraged me. I read every comment you write, and it blesses me more than you know!
I found this little question sheet for bump updates so I figured I’d fill it out to close this 25 week blog post:
How far along: 25 weeks!
Gender: Boy ?
How big is baby: Baby boy is the size of a cauliflower
Have you started to show yet: Uh yes! There’s no hiding this baby!!
Weight Gain: 18 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Sometimes. I wear maternity dresses and tee shirts, but everything else is just my normal clothes. I normally wear a lot of comfy, oversized casual wear so it works with my bump! I use the MaeBand with all my jeans so I haven’t needed to buy maternity jeans this time around! I am linking it here if you’re interested.
Stretch Marks: Nope
Belly Button in or out: Out. Mine always pops so early! And I’m so weird and get freaked out by my own belly button. (haha!) I just remind myself that it will go back in. (Gosh I have problems!!)
Cravings: Fruit and Mexican food. Not together, but you won’t find me turning either down!
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nothing that didn’t make me sick before I was pregnant ?
Happy or Moody: Happy! And tired. Let’s be real…always tired. Get me a pillow and a blanket and I’m ready to sleep.
Movement: Lots of it! And I love it so much. There’s no way to describe it other than amazing and beautiful.
Sleep: What’s that? Or should I say what’s good sleep haha. I toss and turn all night! Unfortunately a good night sleep won’t be coming back for a while!
What I miss: Sleep…specifically sleeping on my stomach. I really miss picking up my babies, (I can’t lift much because of my condition), and not having to rely on everyone for so much. I know that the changes I’ve made are necessary, but it’s still so hard for me to accept the help, and accept the fact that I NEED it these days.
Looking forward to: Meeting our son! And holding my babies. Eek March can’t come soon enough!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Xoxo,
Tay
